From June 17 to 28, 2019, Soong Ching Ling School invited Professor Gao from the College of Teacher Education of East China Normal University to give young teachers a special training on the theme of "Teaching Design Based on Core Literacy”. The training was conducted three consecutive times, each with four class periods.
Professor Gao adopted lectures and group cooperation to carry out the training from the frontier trends of education, the direction of education reform, the purpose of education, the idea of teaching design and the specific method of writing teaching plans, which combined both theories and methods. There are lots of actual teacher growth cases, as well as interactions and group cooperation.
The content of Professor Gao’s lecture is aimed at the characteristics of teachers at Soong Ching Ling School: young, highly educated, enthusiastic in learning and strong in acceptance, but with insufficient teaching experience and educational philosophy. The teachers benefited a lot from addressing their confusions in an in-depth explanation.
