Before coming to SCLSID, I had spent 11 years in Beijing. As a native Beijinger, my previous school brought me many memories: the time spent studying with classmates, training with the soccer team, and playing with familiar friends. I was very reluctant to leave the city where I had lived since my childhood.
“Feeling the spring breeze slipping through our fingers and embracing the sunshine, we gathered at SCLS to embark on the journey of learning. Through reading, we obtain our first knowledge of the world, preparing us to take our first steps into the real world with wisdom and reason." Our school anthem flowed naturally from my heart as I recalled and jotted down all my most precious memories at SCLSID over these past twelve years, each moment contributing to the person I am today.
We can all agree that this week has been francolicious in the amount of French-inspired activities we got. So before we enter our post-Francophonie depression, let’s have a look back into this week of excitement and sportsmanship. First of all, we had to travel 5 days back to Monday, where we were instantly hit by the awesome and inclusive opening ceremony, where our celebrity French teachers paraded the first floor, enticing everyone with the power of French and the Olympic games.
This year marks my 12th year at Shanghai Soong Ching Ling School International Division (SCLSID), and also my final year. Looking back at the photos from elementary school, those scenes and moments are still vivid in my mind. The campus is filled with scenes of playfulness with my childhood friends, and occasionally, passing by these locations, those memories come rushing back. From elementary to high school, I've made countless rounds here. This companionship at SCLSID has been the most precio

Last semester, music students in the IDMS/HS choir and orchestra classes spent many months preparing music to share with parents, classmates, and teachers at their Winter Concert. Sadly, with mere days left before the performance, a sudden uptick in COVID cases led to the cancellation of all after-school events for the last weeks of the semester. Undaunted, music students spent time during the winter holiday practicing in order not to forget their repertoire, and last month, on the verge of spri

My life intertwined with the SoongChingLing community at the early age of three. Healthy and happy, I have grown into a Senior at this school. It was here that I was nurtured under the philosophy of "Give children the most valuable things" from Madam Soong Ching Ling. Everything and every event of this school helped me to thrive as who I am now, to embrace life and an infinite amount of possibilities.
