Save the earth
Initially founded as an extracurricular club in 2018, the SCLS Greenhouse Project welcomes responsible students who are aware of protecting the environment. The members of this club fully understand human-caused environmental problems. Even if they may be unable to impact the overall situation as individuals, the members firmly believe that change can be accomplished through continuous dedication.

Achievement
Since its initiation, apart from motivating more students to be involved in environmental protection, SCLS Greenhouse made their mark on campus with a great achievement-construction of the birdhouse. In order for students to better understand the significance of protecting the environment, the members of the club designed and built a birdhouse that allows students to appreciate a variety of beautiful birds. The birdhouse was named "Forest" and composed of pine wood & wood-embedded crystal boards, aimed to recreate the characteristics of nature. The initial plans took into account parrot behavior to allow space and freedom for the birds to move within the birdhouse.

In addition, agriculture is a valued part of Chinese culture. Thanks to the school's support, we gained an opportunity to be the first user of "Xiao He Garden" where crops and plants are thriving. Luckily, this vital garden seems to be best fit for teaching our "Organic Farm" to others. Under Dr. Dods and Dr. Puig's guidance, we have progress with few problems. Through this project, we have spontaneous environmental science and agricultural research lessons. Our experience allows us to prepare for events like the primary school's Open Day where we hope to include learning D.I.Y. activities for students.

In order to maintain environmental projects such as the birdhouse, ongoing investment in SCLS Greenhouse Project is needed. Therefore, we need funds as soon as possible. Our members have creative merchandise using the different species of birds within the birdhouse. We have ordered products like pillows, clothing, stationery, key rings, and phone cases.
未来
Future
Environmental problems are not solved immediately. However, that does not mean they are permanent. Greenhouse holds long-term goals which are to positively change mindsets that will last through generations.
