Overview

The educational system in domestic department of primary school in SCLS contain grade 1 to 5, including 15 classes. The school adopts an individualized teaching method having the two homeroom teachers sitting in the back of the classroom. Because the teachers and students share most of the times in school together, the bonds between them are based on mutual respect, trust and love. The school follows strictly the pattern of children's physical, mental and cognitive development from age 7 to 11, and guides them into acquiring good habit, igniting their interests in study and forming sound society relationships. We hope our students can achieve the ten 100% goals by participating in our five-year abundant and challenging curriculums and events.

The goal of our education:

The fundamental curriculum lay the basis for student's basic knowledge, skillset and attainment. We guarantee 100% achievement of the national standard curriculum, and we combine it with the school’s best features to create a more adapted and school-based curriculum.

The school values traditional Chinese culture as one of the most important things, so we feature it into our student's daily classes, and they are one of our finest and famous course. The four main parts based on the 24 divisions of the solar year forming this course are ‘solar term and health’, ‘solar term and landscape’, ‘solar term and rhythm’ and ‘solar term and craft’. We aim to cultivate students with the characteristics of kindness, polite, elegant and studious though attending this course.

The extended curriculum is focusing on intriguing students and help develop their comprehensive skills. There are over 30 different elective classes ranging from sports, art, technology, history, geography, art and craft, humanity and more.

The school aims at developing students' ability to discover, study and solve problems. Courses like transcultural lessons, technology, landscape and traditional Chinese workshop can all support students with the opportunity of a sustainable research practice.
