SCLS has began to hold the International Arts Festival since 2011. It focuses on the integration of Chinese and Western culture. The Chinese poetry, Peking opera, Pingtan, jazz and fairy tales performed on stage during the festival have fully embodied the educational philosophy of “Chinese soul and global perspective”. Starting from 2017, the Arts Festival has integrated art, character and patriotism education through drama. Every child has the opportunity to step onto the stage and challenge themselves. Through such experience children have learned teamwork, undertaken responsibility and harvested lifelong love for arts.
