11 月 6 日至 10 日，小学图书馆以 "书籍是镜子和窗户 "为主题举行了一年一度的图书周活动，本次主题主要反映我们学生自己现实生活的故事以及强调那些让我们体验他人生活和经历的故事的重要性。
Last November 6 to 10, SCLS Primary School celebrated Library Week with the theme “Books are mirrors and windows,” highlighting the importance of stories reflecting our own realities and those that offer us a peek into other people’s lives and experiences.
又到孩子们期盼的图书周，学生们通过限定主题设计专属书签，让孩子拥有更大的想象发挥空间。以下是今年书签设计的佼佼者。

Book Fair
当然，图书周最受孩子喜爱的则是逛逛书展，挑选自己喜爱的书籍。孩子在挑选过程中可通过自主阅读更好地激发阅读热情，在自主选择并顺利完成所选书籍时，孩子们会更有自信，相信自己具备的能力和潜力，从而建立更积极向上的心态。
Like in previous years, we have partnered with Book Win for this year’s book fair. Our students have thoroughly enjoyed perusing the selection and purchasing books to keep and love.
体验口述故事
Storyteller Andy Wright
今年最特别的一个环节是，我们特别邀请了Storyteller Andy Wright先生为学生们带来一场与众不同的互动。三十多年来，他一直在世界各地讲述故事。他致力于帮助儿童和成人发现自己的故事，颂扬自己的文化和他人的文化。他用他的讲故事来促进识字、阅读和对文学的热爱。最重要的是，他描绘了一种有趣的感觉，将幽默与真实的情感完美地融合在一起。
On Wednesday, we hosted a visiting storyteller, Mr. Andy Wright. He told stories from New Zealand, the UK, and Africa. In one of the stories, Wright even asked for some volunteers to participate on stage and our students enthusiastically joined in.

Library Trivia Kahoot
团队合作是不可缺少的一部分，在图书馆知识问答环节中，各个年级的孩子展现出了他们的从容与智慧。“独行快，众行远”，在学习的路途上，能有一群互相鼓励，合作相伴的小伙伴真是一件快乐而自豪的一件事。
Other activities include a Chinese Story Writing Competition, the Library Trivia Quiz, and the Books Are Mirrors and Windows Reading Challenge where students must read books on diversity and inclusion.

SCLS Libraries’ mission have always been to provide a wide variety of materials and resources to our community. We aim to maintain a diverse and comprehensive collection that represents various points of views, stories that serve not just as mirrors but also windows to diverse range of opinions, thoughts, and cultural backgrounds. Our work does not end on Library Week, we hope to continuously provide a space where our students discover, not just themselves, but also be inspired by other people’s experiences.
