Spelling Bee
Last Friday, our Primary campus was buzzing with excitement as students from Grades 1–5 took to the stage for our annual Spelling Bee!
With bright lights, nervous smiles, cheering classmates, and families watching through our livestream, students showed incredible bravery as they stepped up to the microphone and tackled challenging words in front of a live audience. From our youngest spellers to our oldest competitors, every student showed determination, confidence, and resilience.
For weeks leading up to the event, students practiced at home and at school, studying word lists, testing one another, and preparing for the big day. Some students flew through rounds with confidence, while others had to pause, think carefully, and trust themselves under pressure. No matter the outcome, each student demonstrated courage and perseverance that made our school community proud.
As the rounds continued, the competition became more and more exciting. The audience listened closely as students spelled increasingly difficult words, and every correct answer brought cheers and applause from classmates and teachers. The auditorium was filled with encouragement, excitement, and lots of school spirit as students continued to bee-lieve in themselves and one another.
The Spelling Bee is about so much more than spelling words correctly. Events like these help students build:
confidence speaking in front of others
strong vocabulary and language skills
careful listening and focus
perseverance through challenges
courage to take academic risks
Most importantly, the event reminded students that learning can be exciting, joyful, and something worth celebrating together.
