What a special way to begin the school year!

Last week, we had the joy of officially welcoming our newest Primary School International Division students and their families at our Grade 1 Entrance Ceremony. The event marked an exciting milestone—the beginning of a new journey filled with learning, growth, friendship, discovery, and connection.

Before the ceremony began, families were invited to write a loving message for their child.

These notes were filled with encouragement, warm wishes, and hopes for the year ahead, reminding each student that they begin this new chapter surrounded by support and love.

During the ceremony, our Grade 1 students were formally welcomed into Primary School and received their admission letters. It was a proud and memorable moment for students and families alike as we celebrated all that lies ahead in this exciting new chapter.

Only a few days into their Grade 1 journey, our youngest Primary School students were already ready to take the lead.

Following the ceremony, they became little ambassadors for their school, proudly guiding their families through the places that are quickly becoming part of their new world.

With excitement and growing confidence, students took their families to the White House, the library, their classrooms, the playground, and other familiar spaces around campus. It was wonderful to see them sharing their school with such pride while families had the chance to experience campus through their child’s eyes.

It was a joyful celebration of just how quickly our Grade 1 students are becoming part of the Primary School community—confidently exploring, proudly sharing, and beginning to create their own special memories on campus.

From the encouraging words written by their families, to receiving their official welcome, to proudly showing their parents around campus, the morning represented more than the beginning of Grade 1. It was the beginning of belonging—to a classroom, to a school, and to a community that will grow alongside them in the years ahead.
