On September 26th, more than 1,300 students and teachers from 30 different countries and regions of Soong Ching Ling School and Soong Ching Ling Kindergarten celebrated the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China with their joyful singing and dancing.
With flying balloons and waving flags, the entire campus turned into red. All the people gave their sincere love and best wishes to China.
Mr. Jiang Liang, vice president of China Welfare Institute, and Mr. Zhang Xiao Min, president of the leading Party group, vice president and general secretary of China Welfare Institute, Ms. Zhao Hui Qin, Qingpu District Committee Secretary joined the celebration with students and teachers.
The song of "Our Land and Field" depicted the picturesque landscape of China and a scene of the hard-working Chinese people building their new country. The song "Where is the Spring" gave us a gentle touch of spring and the vigor of youth.
The song "Happy Holiday" expressed the young people's joy and freedom of growing up, thanks to their rich and strong Motherland - China.
The song "I am a Chinese" showed the proud feeling of a being Chinese person.
The songs of "Chinese Young Pioneer League" and "Chinese Communist Youth League" explained how young people, as the successor of Communism, honor the revolutionary tradition of their predecessor and enlighten the future with passion.
Middle school and high school students of the international division sang the song "Country" with sign language, telling people that a family just likes a smallest country, with thousands and millions of them together, then we have our country.
SCLS students in both primary and middle school, kids from SCLK, and even guards and ayis, all stood and saluted during the flag raising ceremony to express their deepest respect to the national flag.
"My motherland and I, are never apart, wherever I may be, I will sing a song of praise……." when people heard this familiar rhythm, all of them sang out the song "My Motherland and I" loudly to express their best and sincerest wishes to the Motherland.

The entire September is the patriotic month of SCLS, the whole campus is full of Chinese elements, Chinese stories, and of course red, the symbolic color of China.
Both Soong Ching Ling School and Soong Ching Ling Kindergarten are affiliated with China Welfare Institute which was founded by Madame Soong Ching Ling. It is their shared responsibility to carry on the patriotic and philanthropic spirit of Madame Soong Ching Ling. No matter whether they are ignorant kids or ambitious young people, a seed of love has already been sowed into their heart. No matter where they go, this deeply rooted love and passion for China will always give them strength in pursuit of a more peaceful and prosperous future for mankind.
