Introduction of the Presenter:
Liang Yan, Bachelor and Master of Chemistry from Tsinghua University, Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Minnesota, used to be a science animator of Digizyme Corporation in the United States, and is currently an associate researcher of the University of Science and Technology of China. Besides, Liang Yan once served as a scientific visualization consultant to provide consulting services to researchers from Harvard University, MIT, Stanford University, and Cornell University. His papers have been published on the cover of Science, Nature Materials, Nature Photonics, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), among other famous academic journals.
Summary of the Lecture:
The beauty of science is reflected in the senses. Take chemistry as an example, its beauty lies in the brilliant colors, diverse forms, and changes in the nature, which has brought us visual enjoyment. The beauty of science is also reflected in the cognitive level. Science not only helps us understand the laws of the nature, but also inspires us to explore in the mysterious world. In this lecture, we will seek the beauty of science together and appreciate the wonderful contents produced by the expert science team.
