SCLS is committed to building an international humanities exchange and communication platform for students to develop their global competence. It has established in-depth inter-school connections with the century-old Punahou School and Choate Rosemary Hall in the U.S., St. Petersburg 547 School in Russia, and Shanghai Japanese School. Meanwhile, the school has organized cultural exchange activities with the consulates-generals of various countries in Shanghai, aiming to help students broaden the vision, understand different cultures, respect and appreciate cultural diversity, interact with people from different countries, and enhance global awaren
Before the National Holiday, a group of SCLS students left Shanghai to begin their exchange-visit to Punahou School, located in Hawaii, known as the Rainbow Isaland.
On November 27, all the fifth graders from Soong Ching Ling School participated in a half-day exchange program at the Shanghai Japanese School Hongqiao Campus.
In March, Soong Ching Ling School organized diverse activities for South Africa Week.
